The majority of Americans, including Republicans, Independents, and Democrats, overwhelmingly agree that members of Congress should not be playing the stock market while we hold office.
That's why I introduced legislation to ban the practice shortly after I was elected.
Earlier this summer, a bill to do just that passed The Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee.
