Jason,
We're two days out from the first FEC reporting deadline of the year.
You've probably received a lot of requests for campaign cash. And most will say the same thing: this FEC deadline matters.
But here's why it really, really matters for this unique Senate race in Georgia, where I am the only Democratic incumbent Senator seeking re-election in a state Trump won:
- WE HAVE TO SHOW STRENGTH. Potential Republican challengers like Brian Kemp and Marjorie Taylor Greene are weighing bids. They'll be backed by a vast network of MAGA billionaires and Super PACs ready to spend limitless sums. A strong showing on this FEC report proves to them (and their Super PAC allies, including Mr. Musk)—that our movement in Georgia is thriving and unstoppable.
- THERE'S NO TIME TO LOSE. To win decisively, my team is already building a huge statewide campaign. That means more rallies. More organizers. More outreach—and early outreach—to voters we've reached before. All of that takes resources right now. We're building and we've got to keep building bigger and faster every day.
I don't love asking for money. I don't think anyone does.
But the reality is I have to. I can't win without you.
Citizens United opened the dam for limitless dark money to flood into elections.
That's a big part of why Congress is broken and corrupted. It's why we have really expensive elections.
And also it's why campaigns like mine have to build serious grassroots fundraising operations from Day One.
I have you, Jason.
And I need you!
I am literally MAGA's #1 target.
They will spare no expense and try every dirty trick.
Yes, this election will be tough.
But I know how to win tough fights. I've done it before.
Let's do it again.
