Democrat Debra Shigley just won the most votes in the Georgia Senate special election runoff for District 21. She was the only Democrat on the ballot, running against six Republicans in a deep red district previously held by a Trump appointee, and she came out on top by double digits.
This is undeniable momentum for new leadership, and it shows that Democrats can compete and win even in places Republicans thought were safe. |
