I know the headlines are constant. The attacks feel nonstop. And if you're feeling overwhelmed, or like one more political email might push you over the edge, I get it.
But I want to be honest about why these emails matter. |
| Right now, Republicans have complete control of the federal government: the White House, the Senate and the House. They've already passed devastating budget cuts, slashing Medicaid, school funding and food assistance. And they're just getting started… Unless Democrats take back the House next November, we have limited ways to fight back.
Winning the House won't undo all of the damage. But it will give us the power to block the next wave of cruelty, hold hearings, shine a light on corruption and finally go on offense again.
I represent the only toss-up seat in New York and one of the most competitive in the country. If we lose it, we are all but guaranteed to lose our shot at taking back the House. I'm not going to let that happen and I know you won't either.
That's why we send these emails. That's why we ask for your support. Because without grassroots donors, this campaign doesn't stand a chance against the record-breaking Republican fundraising numbers.
