Mike Lawler went on Morning Joe last week and instead of answering for his vote to cut $900 billion from Medicaid, he tried to throw our local hospitals under the bus. |
| He couldn't answer for the fact that healthcare providers in our district, like Montefiore Nyack Hospital, are already warning that they will have to cut back on services and staff because of his vote for the "Big Beautiful Bill." Instead, he claimed our local hospital leaders are "parroting" left-wing talking points.
Mike Lawler has shown time and again that he's more interested in protecting his party and Trump's agenda than protecting the people of NY-17. He knows his vote for "the BBB" will hurt seniors, veterans, and people with special needs—along with every hardworking family who needs healthcare—and he's desperately trying to pass the buck.
Well, it's not going to work. As a mom and a cancer survivor, this is personal to me. I'm running to defend healthcare for every person in this district and to hold Mike Lawler accountable for his disastrous vote. But I can't do it alone.
