| Jason, This month, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Louisiana v. Callais — a case that could upend the voting rights protections guaranteed to us by the Voting Rights Act of 1965. This case isn't just about a map in Louisiana. It could decide whether states can draw maps that dilute the voices of Black, Latino, and other communities of color. If the Court rolls back these protections, the impacts will reach far beyond Louisiana and impact every state in the union. I'm running for Congress because everyone deserves a voice in our democracy — because we need someone who stands up for us when our voices are challenged. That's what my campaign is about: ensuring working men and women, immigrants, and seniors have a seat at the table, not just the wealthy and well-connected. But protecting that vision takes all of us. When powerful interests try to silence our voices, we fight back together. Will you stand with me today and chip in $10 or whatever you can to help build a campaign that defends voting rights and puts people first? |
