Earlier this month, I won the Democratic nomination for North Carolina's U.S. Senate seat. I'll be running against Republican Michael Whatley, a far-right Big Oil lobbyist and President Trump's handpicked candidate.
As I start my general election campaign, I'm thinking about how grateful I am for the support of folks like you that got me here. This is the time to stand up and fight for our future – and I am ready. But I need you with me.

| I didn't plan to run for federal office. I wanted to serve North Carolina from right here at home. But when I look at what's happening across the country, I know I can't leave things as they are for my daughters or for yours.
So long as Trump's extreme allies are in power, there is no path to accountability or restraint. Just more chaos, division and attacks on our fundamental freedoms.
To set our nation back on course, we must regain Senate control – and that starts by winning in North Carolina. We can flip this seat from red to blue for the first time since 2008, but far-right Republican PACs and megadonors will spend hundreds of millions to stop us.
