Taking a moment to introduce myself, Jason

Dirt Road PAC

Hi, Jason, I'm Steve Benjamin and I am the new chair of Dirt Road PAC — founded by Jaime Harrison. Give me a moment to tell you about our journey to restore hope in our democracy and how your support through emails like this one is critical.

We live in the greatest nation in the world, but as we've seen, it takes grassroots democratic action to make sure it remains so. Our mission here at Dirt Road PAC is to help Democrats compete everywhere by amplifying the voices of those that have been left behind: communities with crumbling schools, shuttered hospitals, unpaved dirt roads, and more.

Dirt Road PAC began on a dirt road in rural South Carolina when a voter told our founder Jaime Harrison that he'd stay out of politics "until either a Democrat or a Republican paves my road." As the mayor of the great city of Columbia, South Carolina, I'm quite familiar with this sentiment. Put simply: There is so much more that unites us than divides us, and we can't move forward if we're not working together.

That's why I'm happy to pick up where Jaime left off. In the Georgia runoffs, grassroots support — through emails like this — helped us reach, register, and mobilize voters from all corners of the state to help elect Senators Warnock and Ossoff and flip the Senate. The Democratic Senate and President Joe Biden have since provided relief to millions of families, communities, and small businesses.

Now, we're looking ahead to Virginia's statewide races this year and the 2022 midterms where control of the House and Senate is literally on the line. Grassroots investments will help us invest in voter registration and mobilization in hard-to-win places and we're counting on folks like you, Jason, to support our work, which is why I'm asking:

Please tell us how you want to get involved in this journey to restore hope in our democracy and elect Democrats in the years to come. Fill out this form today to tell us how often you want to receive emails from us and how you'd prefer to take action.

Thank you and talk soon,

Steve
