Anyone vying to be Donald Trump's running mate has to pass one of two loyalty tests:
First, you gotta show up at his criminal trial in New York and shed crocodile tears over how "unfairly" he's being treated.
But the big one is this: You must refuse to commit to accepting the outcome of the November election. In other words, if it doesn't go their way, they're promising to spend another four years telling The Big Lie Pt. 2.
Actually, it's so much worse than that: If Trump loses, what these people are saying and doing right now is giving license to the extremists who tried to overrun the Capitol to do it all again — except this time, they'll have had years to plan. Not one of these Trump suck-ups seems to have an ounce of dignity, shame, or allegiance to our Constitution.
The only good news is that the voters who will decide this election see this undemocratic behavior for what it is — and our research says if we do our jobs, they'll reject Trump at the polls for it.
You probably guessed. I have to ask: Will you help fund our program to aggressively reach pro-democracy voters in battleground states and help defeat Trump and Trumpism for good?
One last thing, and I think this is important: I don't know about you, but I refuse to be bullied by these MAGA thugs.
They want us to be terrified of the violent mobs they're trying to whip up. They want us to back down and just let them take over again.
Let me be very clear: I took an oath to defend our Constitution from threats like that. And you better believe I'm going to live up to it. I hope you're with me.
