We send you a lot of emails (like this one) that ask you to chip in. Usually right after that, we remind you that, if you're an NYC resident, your donations will be matched 8 to 1 by the city's Campaign Finance Program (CFP).

We do this because New Yorkers voted to approve public financing of campaigns in 2018.

The objective? Make sure everyday New Yorkers' voices aren't drowned out by the wealthiest.

You voted for this program.

Your tax dollars pay for this program.

And the richest among us can no longer buy our elections — and a small donation of even just $20 has a massive impact on our campaign.
