The signature collection process for a proposed ballot measure to repeal Alaska's Ranked Choice Voting and Open Primary system in 2026 begins.
Just a few months ago, Alaska voters made their way to the polls and reaffirmed their support for our state's ranked-choice system. Voters first approved of the system back in 2021, and Alaska Republicans have relentlessly tried to undo the will of Alaska voters ever since.
It's clear that Alaskans support a system that empowers voters and truly reflects the will of the people! Now, out-of-touch extremists are once again trying to pull us back to a system when dark special interest money drowns out the voices of everyday Alaskans.
