Would winning back the House *actually* change anything?

I get it. It feels like this Congress has abdicated its role as an equal branch of government. That includes many Democrats who have seemed unwilling or incapable of providing real opposition to what Trump and his team are doing.  There's one reason I believe flipping the House majority is the most effective thing we can do in the year ahead:  Oversight.  Under Speaker Mike Johnson, the House has refused to investigate an administration that is brazenly breaking the law. The courts, so far, have had limited success at stopping the worst actions of this administration. And that's before you realize that there is SO MUCH WRONGDOING that's not even making its way into the legal system.  Crimes that aren't being prosecuted. Corruption that's going un-policed. Pardons that are being handed out to the highest bidder. A president that has leveraged a shady crypto world to double his personal wealth in less than a year. We need to win back the House majority because every single bit of it needs to be thoroughly investigated and presented in the court of public opinion.  Trust me, I understand the pessimism. Will a Democratic majority be able to stop Trump altogether? Probably not. But I believe with my whole heart that there is incredible value in uncovering the truth and showing the American people the extent of the rot going on inside this administration. Only then can we truly turn the tide against MAGA in this country and start to dig ourselves out of this mess. My team at DMA is actively exploring our paths to take back the House.
