Folks, every week under Donald Trump has brought a new blow to the basic freedoms and protections Americans count on. And if we don’t face it honestly, we won’t be ready for the fights still ahead.
Here’s just a fraction of what we’ve watched unfold:
• He ordered his allies to block the renewal of key ACA subsidies, forcing families to choose between food, rent, and the insurance that keeps them alive.
• He moved to dismantle the Department of Education and declared degrees like nursing and teaching “unprofessional,” throwing students and future workers into chaos as they try to secure loans.
• He pardoned MAGA cronies in one sweeping show of power and even released George Santos from prison, no matter how many laws were broken in broad daylight.
• He ordered political prosecutions of Democrats, including Senator Mark Kelly, simply for reminding service members that they must refuse illegal orders.
This isn’t normal. This isn’t leadership. And the truth is, these attacks hit harder when people stay silent.
