THEN: Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson made it clear they want the Affordable Care Act dismantled. Their goal is simple enough. Scrap a health care law that helps working families so their wealthy donors can cash in on even more tax breaks.
NOW: MAGA Republicans are refusing to extend the subsidies that keep premiums within reach. If those lapse, the core of Obamacare — affordable coverage for everyday people — starts to unravel.
We cannot afford to be quiet while politicians play games with people’s lives. Congress needs to hear from voters who still believe health care should be a right, not a luxury.
