Jason,
It makes me sick to think that there are members of Congress right now who cheered on the insurrectionists on Jan. 6, and betrayed their oath of office in a vote to overturn the 2020 election.
I want them to know they haven't gotten away with anything. And if they're hoping that by the next time they have to face voters, most folks will simply have forgotten all about it — they're dead wrong.
Our team is working to make sure they can't escape accountability. We're organizing voters in key districts across the country, wherever we can take on and defeat members of the so-called Sedition Caucus.
Today, I want to show you exactly what that looks like, because it's nothing like your typical political campaign — we're highlighting the voices of real people. Take a look at what we're working on, and chip in before our June FEC deadline to help expand this work in the months ahead.
There's a reason why we're doing things differently this time around. For one, we want to be a thorn in the side of as many of these Sedition Caucus members as possible.
But it's also because the data is clear: Voters are persuaded more by hearing from people like them, in their own words. That's why we're not going to spend a whole bunch of money on negative TV ads that may or may not move the needle. Instead, we're going to amplify the voices of folks who are demanding better from their representation in Congress.
We're in the process of laying out plans to expand our program — what we can raise before our upcoming FEC deadline will help set our budget for the rest of this year.
Thank you, Amy
