48 states are considering laws to restrict voting access.
And it's all based on Donald Trump's lies — the same lies that ginned up a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

Show your support for the For the People Act and the John We won in Georgia and delivered the Senate majority thanks to record-shattering voter turnout.
So now the GOP is making it harder to vote and politicizing election administration, passing suppressive bills based on Trump's lies about voter fraud.
In 2013, the Supreme Court struck down the "pre-clearance" provision of the Voting Rights Act, which empowers the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice to review state and local voting laws to ensure they don't disenfranchise Americans based on race.
That's why Republican legislatures can pass these suppression laws without federal civil rights oversight.
Now it's up to Congress to FULLY RESTORE AND STRENGTHEN the Voting Rights Act. And it's urgent.
