Hi Jason, it's Josh. I've got one number for you: 18. That's how many real people in our Congressional district contributed to Marc Molinaro's campaign in the last three months, according to his latest FEC filing. Only 18 people! (For comparison, our campaign had over 1,000.) And that's across 11 counties – so you can do the math on how it breaks down. Unlike Molinaro's campaign, ours is a grassroots effort powered by living, breathing, real people – not corporations or special interests. Will you chip in today to help us fight back against the dark money flowing into this race? Molinaro raised more than $600,000 last quarter. So if his money wasn't coming from real people (because again – only 18), where the hell did it come from? If you know Molinaro, you probably could have guessed. But now you don't have to because we've seen his finance report. He's bankrolled by Kevin McCarthy, Elise Stefanik, pharmaceutical companies, Big Oil, the NRA… I could keep going. If they're a party boss or corporate special interest, they're probably on the list. Molinaro has spent his entire career selling out Upstate New York, and now that he's in trouble, his special interest donors are rushing in to prop up his campaign yet again. And you can bet they're getting their money's worth with his votes. That's not how I do things. Dark money is corrupting our politics, which is why I'm committed to running a completely grassroots campaign – without a single cent from corporate PACs. I'd rather have thousands of everyday folks pitching in to help our campaign instead of a few big checks from corporations and their special interest groups. I'll never sell out our values or our community for a campaign check. If you believe in that mission, please give whatever you can today to help us fight back against Molinaro's dark money corporate donors. |
With gratitude & high hopes, Josh |
