Jason, Hi, it's Josh. Among the biggest challenges of having a newborn baby are the feedings and diaper changes in the middle of the night. But I love the quiet moments when the rest of the world is asleep and I can spend a few minutes sitting peacefully with the baby. Lately, in those quiet moments in the middle of the night, I've been thinking a lot about the world I want my sons to grow up in, and it makes me want to work even harder to flip this seat from red to blue next year. - I want my sons' generation to go to school feeling safe, not endangered, and learning science and math and history, not active shooter drills. That's why I'll always stand up to the gun lobby and fight for common-sense gun safety legislation (even as my opponent is taking money from the NRA and doing their bidding).
- I want my sons' generation to live on a habitable planet with clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. That's why I was so proud to be endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club last year, and it's why I'll always fight for our environment (even as my opponent is bankrolled by Big Oil and votes against clean energy).
- I want my sons' generation to grow up in a functioning democracy. We need a politics that works for everyday folks, not special interests. We need stronger voting rights and campaign finance laws. And January 6 should never, ever be allowed to happen again. My opponent votes 90% of the time with the most extreme elements of his party–and that's just dangerous.
If you'd like to make a contribution to our campaign so we can work together to turn this vision into reality, I hope you'll consider chipping in today. |
Thanks for letting me share some of my middle-of-the-night thoughts with you. And thanks especially for all of your help as we work hard to win this seat and build a better future for our kids. With gratitude & high hopes, Josh |
