But to some degree, isn't it natural for a guy who's spent the last decade promoting dangerous conspiracy theories to fall in line behind the King of the Tin-Foil Hat Brigade? Here's what we already know: RFK Jr's campaign has been propped up by some of the same mega-donors who are pumping tens of millions into pro-Trump groups this year. From the beginning, Kennedy's campaign was always far more critical of Biden and Harris than Trump — while desperately highlighting his family's legendary Democratic status. This week, his running mate admitted in an interview that they were worried about recent polls showing that they were taking more votes away from Trump than Harris. By immediately teaming up with Trump, they're showing all their cards. This has always been a ploy to siphon votes away from Democrats. That's because the Trump campaign knows exactly what we know: A large part of the electorate that might typically vote Republican just can't stomach what Trump stands for these days. RFK Jr. was in this race to make sure those pro-democracy voters didn't vote for Kamala Harris. That strategy wasn't working. Now, there are millions of voters in battleground states who are up for grabs, and this news makes the choice in this election crystal clear.
