Throughout my journey of public service, I have broken barriers and made history by being young, openly gay, and Asian-American. Now, I have the opportunity to be the first LGBTQ+ and Asian-American representative for CA-16.

 

Jason, I want to take you on a quick journey through my life and path of leadership. I was born in San Jose to Chinese-American parents. My brother and I grew up in an environment that fostered hard work, ambition, and dedication. I earned an associate's degree from De Anza Community College in Cupertino. I finished my education at San Jose State University, where I received a bachelor's in political science.
