Jason, This week, as we celebrated Earth Day, I reflected on one of my proudest achievements. As City Comptroller, I led the effort to divest our city from the fossil fuel industry. I worked with our trustees on New York City's multi-billion divestment from fossil fuels while guaranteeing our funds an unprecedented rate of return. This was a major step in the right direction for our city, and trust me, this didn't win me a lot of friends. Standing up to special interests isn't always the easiest thing to do, but it is what I've done my entire career. As Mayor, I will continue to take on the fossil fuel industry to bring progressive change to our city. My campaign isn't funded by special interests – It's powered by grassroots donations. That is why I am asking you to donate $10 right now. Remember, all donations from $10-$250 from NYC residents are matched 8 to 1 by the city. So your $10 donation becomes $90! |
So grateful, Scott Stringer |
