My friend, Cory Booker

This week, we saw him hold the floor in the US Senate for over 25 hours, shattering the previous filibuster record, held by former Governor of South Carolina, Strom Thurmond. ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Jason, I've known Cory Booker since I was 19. For 30 years, he has been my big brother and my friend.

Cory Booker, Jaime Harrison, and his family

This week, we saw him hold the floor in the US Senate for over 25 hours, shattering the previous filibuster record, held by former Governor of South Carolina, Strom Thurmond.

The significance of this cannot be overstated, Jason. Thurmond's speech was a stand against the Civil Rights Act of 1957 – now, generations later, a Black Senator stood in the same spot on the Senate floor and delivered a speech about the injustices of our current administration.

My friend Cory held the floor fighting for all of us. He held the floor pushing back on the Trump and Musk attacks on our fundamental freedoms. He held the floor fighting for federal workers, veterans and kids with disabilities. There is a saying: in the darkest nights we see our brightest stars.

Cory reminded us this week that the fight ahead is long but hopeful, and requires each of us to stand up in the face of injustice. He's not backing down, and neither are we.

So Jason, will you chip in any amount to split between Senator Cory Booker and Dirt Road Democrats PAC to support our movement for justice and progress?
