Jason,

Last weekend during the Celebration Bowl, we were reminded of what HBCUs represent: excellence, opportunity, culture, and community. At the same time, campuses are celebrating fall graduation season, sending thousands of students into the world with degrees they worked tirelessly to earn.

But this moment of pride is colliding with a real threat.

At a time when Trump and his administration are overhauling higher education, we must be ready to stand up and defend it, including HBCUs — sign on if you agree.

SIGN ON

Right now, Trump and his administration are actively trying to reshape higher education in ways that make it harder for students to access and afford the education they need.

These changes don't just affect classrooms. They threaten entire career pathways.

We're talking about students pursuing degrees to become nurses, physician assistants, audiologists, architects, accountants, educators, and social workers. These are professions our communities rely on every single day. When access to education is restricted, our workforce, our healthcare system, and our communities suffer.

HBCUs have always been engines of upward mobility. They open doors for first-generation students, working-class families, and communities that have been historically excluded from opportunity. At a time when Trump and his administration are overhauling higher education without regard for equity or access, we must be ready to defend it. Add your name to the petition and join me in committing to protect higher education.

Thank you for standing with our students, our educators, and our communities.
