Hi Jason, Today, I spoke out because Georgia families are being set up to pay the price for data centers. For years, Republicans on the Public Service Commission have sided with billionaires and big corporations while hardworking Georgians get stuck with higher utility bills. Tomorrow, they are trying to ram through another bad deal with Georgia Power, negotiated behind closed doors and rushed through at the last possible moment. This deal would not lower costs for families. It would shift even more of the burden onto ratepayers so massive data centers can profit, while everyday Georgians are left paying the bill. The recent PSC elections were a referendum on this exact behavior — it's why voters elected Democrats Peter Hubbard and Alicia Johnson.
That is why I am calling on the PSC to delay this vote until our new commissioners are sworn in on January 1st. Voters want relief. They want accountability. Instead of listening, Republican commissioners are trying to force this deal through before the newly elected commissioners even take office. That is unacceptable. Here's what I will do as governor instead: π Protect ratepayers first. π’ Make data centers pay their fair share. πΈ End taxpayer giveaways. π± Protect our communities and environment. Georgia deserves leaders who will put them ahead of corporate interests. If you agree that it is time to stand up to this kind of politics, can you chip in $5 today to help power this campaign and help me fight for lower costs and real accountability?
Thank you for standing with me, Jason
