And it's about who truly stands with working families.   As a military mom, I have deep respect and gratitude for the men and women who protect our country — whether serving overseas, at home, or as first responders like the heroes of 9/11 who ran toward danger when others ran away. They sacrificed for us.   That's why it matters how our elected officials vote.   When Melissa Bean was in Congress, she voted against legislation that would have strengthened protections and benefits for American workers and first responders. She also supported trade policies that allowed jobs to move overseas — decisions that hurt working families here in Illinois. Today, her establishment campaign is being fueled by millions in outside spending from special interests and PACs.
