I've spent nearly half a century electing Democrats and winning tough elections across the country, so please take my word for it when I say this — we gotta get serious about Alaska's U.S. Senate race.
The truth is: Alaska is the Democrats' VERY BEST CHANCE to take back the Senate majority this year.
I won't sugarcoat it — it's going to be one hell of a fight. But I know what it takes to win in "red states" where people think you can't elect a Democrat.
So let me say this LOUD and CLEAR: Mary has what it takes. Mary knows how to win tough races and has won statewide in Alaska before.
But she can't pull this off without a HUGE team of people who care about our country behind her.
Billionaires and super PACs will spend UNGODLY sums — I'm talking about tens of millions — to defeat Mary and take Alaska off the map for Democrats. Unless we all do everything we can, we're handing this seat right back to a corrupt politician, and the Senate majority to DC Republicans.
It was a selfless move from Mary Peltola to jump into a tough race like this! But she did it because she understands how high the stakes are for all of us. Now I'm hoping you do too…
