Mike Dunleavy is spending your money — not listening to you

This isn't about priorities. It's about power.

Dear Jason, Alaskans expect their government to make smart decisions with our money — especially when budgets are tight, and communities across the state are struggling with aging infrastructure, ferry service gaps, and basic maintenance needs. But once again, Mike Dunleavy is doing what he wants with state funds — regardless of what Alaskans actually need. His administration pushed forward a $28.5 million ferry terminal project north of Juneau that lawmakers tried to redirect toward projects across the state that could have unlocked hundreds of millions in federal matching dollars. Instead of leveraging federal funding to repair existing ferry terminals and invest in infrastructure communities actually depend on, Dunleavy vetoed that plan and spent the money anyway. Meanwhile, communities across Alaska are dealing with: Crumbling infrastructure that needs repairs Transportation systems that aren't reliable Schools facing funding crises That $28.5 million could have helped address real needs across the state. Instead, the Dunleavy administration chose to push forward a project that appears to benefit outside commercial interests more than everyday Alaskans. DONATE TODAY That's not fiscal responsibility.
