Right now feels quiet. Too quiet.
While most folks are scrolling past politics for a breather, Republicans are building an advantage that compounds every single week. They are not waiting for the fall. They are not waiting for permission. They are not waiting for polls to tighten.
And in fact, it’s working. The RNC has a nearly $100 million edge over Democrats – an extremely distressing sign as we’re less than 9 months out from Election Day.
They are spending early. Hiring early. Testing early. Locking in vendors early. Buying attention early. Making mistakes now so they do not make them later when it actually matters.
You’ve seen this movie before, folks. Every cycle, Democrats tell themselves there will be time to catch up. Every cycle, campaigns end up paying more to fix problems that could have been prevented. Every cycle, we watch good candidates fight uphill battles that never should have been uphill in the first place.
Early resources change everything.
They let organizers start before voters tune out.
They let messages get sharper before Republicans define the story.
They let Democrats play offense instead of scrambling to respond.
Once Republicans gain momentum, slowing them down is brutally expensive. Undoing early damage costs more than preventing it. Always.
We are raising early, so we are not asking at the worst possible moment.
