I want to take a moment to congratulate Senator-elect Brian Nathan and Representative-elect Emily Gregory on their incredible special election victories on Tuesday.
Florida voters made their voices loud and clear: we are ready for change, and that Democrats are ready to deliver it.
In Trump-won districts, folks showed up to elect candidates who will work for the community. They're tired of the chaos. They're tired of rising costs. And they're tired of leaders who put special interests ahead of working families.
My message: last night's results showed that winning in Florida is more than possible. We can win anywhere, flip any seat, and win in November.
I've spent my life in public service, working to keep communities safe, lower costs, and bring people together, and now I'm running for governor to take that same leadership statewide.
But wins like this don't happen by accident. They happen because people step up and build the kind of movement it takes to win.
