Jason, we've made it to the end of July, which means we're now exactly 100 days from Election Day.
In years past, 100 days out from the election was often a celebratory moment for supporters and activists — a rallying cry to gear up to run through the tape in November.
This year, it's hard to feel that way. Our country is navigating very serious and disheartening challenges, from the ultra-conservative Supreme Court ripping away fundamental human rights — and threatening to go even further — to the looming horrors of gun violence, ongoing climate disasters, and rising costs of living.
Not to mention the fact that a former president is STILL lying about the last election and plotting his next attempt to steal the White House.
But what they say about joy being its own form of resistance is true. And I have always found that taking action can provide that spark. It's why I've been fighting for my country my whole life — I can't just stand by and worry. I need to do something to get involved, and today I'm asking you to join me. (I promise, it will feel a whole lot better than scrolling through the news.)
My organization, The American SOS Project, is dedicated to winning one of the biggest battles in front of us as a country. We're doing everything we can to defeat Donald Trump and his allies and protect the future of our democracy.
He thinks he can install his cronies into key secretary of state positions, who will help hand him the presidency in 2024. And we must prove him wrong.
So right now, 100 days out from the midterm elections and the day we close the books on July, will you chip in to support The American SOS Project?
Let's go — thanks!
Amy
