DeJoy has neglected to provide postal workers Heat Illness Prevention Program (HIPP) training — despite official records saying that this training had happened. Unfortunately, this resulted in the tragic death of a USPS worker who was under pressure to deliver mail faster under extreme heat conditions due to DeJoy's demands. Sign the petition to Congress: Investigate the record falsifying under DeJoy's leadership and ensure the safety of our USPS postal workers. Summer 2023 was the hottest on record. USPS workers, who often work outside in the dangerous heat, are not being trained on prevention and management of heat illness. Under DeJoy's leadership, workers are discouraged from taking breaks, which is in blatant violation of OSHA guidelines. The truth is, Louis DeJoy, who was appointed by Donald Trump, should have been fired a long time ago, and he certainly should have been investigated already. USPS workers are suffering economically, mentally, and physically under his leadership. Congress must step in to ensure that employee safety is prioritized before summer rolls around this year. Sign the petition to Congress: We must investigate Louis DeJoy's deception and falsification of records related to employee safety. Mail carriers and postal employees keep our country running.
