Vance accusing him of "stolen valor." I am just so disgusted. But no one should be surprised. After all, the Trump campaign is led by the same guy who ran the shameful (and BS) swift boat attacks against John Kerry in 2004. They're running the same playbook now, lying about Gov. Walz's record, because they're desperate. The problem is it worked well enough in 2004, confusing just enough people to swing a very close election. And the target audience of this new smear is the same pro-democracy voters we're trying to reach — most of whom come from military families or backgrounds themselves. We need to fight back with the facts about what's really at stake in this election — rush in a donation to make sure we reach as many pro-democracy voters as we can in battleground states >> We all know Donald Trump is no stranger to attacking our military veterans. He called our fallen soldiers "losers" and "suckers," mocked John McCain's POW experience, and stalled the passage of the Veterans Burn Pits Exposure Recognition Act. But J.D. Vance should know better. Those of us who've served know that 24 years in uniform, and especially rising to the rank of Command Sergeant Major, is no small feat. Tim Walz is the definition of putting country (and community) before self, and I'm so proud to have him represent our party. The thing is, this isn't a mistake. This is their strategy — straight out of the same dusty playbook they ran two decades ago. If it disgusts you as much as it disgusts me, then let's muster everything we've got to hit back. The pro-democracy voters we need to reach are smart folks — they're your friends and neighbors who are fed up with the undemocratic behavior and rhetoric coming from Team MAGA. And this is exactly the kind of thing that, if they hear the truth, will make them abandon Trump for good. But reaching these voters with the facts in states like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arizona is going to take resources we don't currently have.
