I have spent years working to elect Democrats across the country, including at the DCCC, and I can tell you this with absolute confidence: the road to a Democratic House majority runs right through New York's 17th District.
That is why I signed on.
Beth is exactly the kind of leader we need in Congress. She is a mom, a legislator, and a two-time cancer survivor with deep roots in this community. She has already made history in Rockland County by helping deliver the first-ever Democratic supermajority in the Legislature, and she has a proven bipartisan record of cutting taxes, preserving open space, and passing common-sense gun safety legislation.
Mike Lawler, on the other hand, has been a reliable rubber stamp for Donald Trump's agenda. He helped pass the Big Ugly Bill that slashed Medicaid and nutrition assistance, and he has put billionaires and special interests ahead of families in the Hudson Valley.
This race is one of the most competitive in the country. It is also one of the Democrats' very best chances to flip a seat and take back the House this year. But we will only win if our campaign has the resources to go toe to toe with Lawler's massive war chest and his national Republican allies.
