Just recently, HB 1205, a bill that will put more outrageous restrictions on ballot initiatives like ours, passed in the House. Advocates for this anti-democratic bill have shared that it would bring "transparency" and "reform" to the process of putting citizen-led amendments on the ballot. But Jason, they've left out some key details of what this bill means. Out-of-touch politicians forget that Florida already enforces one of the most difficult processes in the country, and this new process would kill ANY attempt to organize a ballot initiative. This bill would stop Floridians who are advocating for changes that would improve the lives of millions in the Sunshine State.
