| Jason, I want to share a story with you that has stayed with me every day since I heard it, because it's exactly why I decided to run for Congress. Let me tell you about Jonathon in Portsmouth. He's 57, works hard in the freelance world, and like so many Granite Staters, he relies on the ACA marketplace for his health insurance. Right now, he pays about $250 a month. But because Republicans in Congress and the Trump administration are letting ACA tax credits expire, Jonathon just learned his premiums could jump to $850 a month. He can't afford that. Most families I talk to can't. What makes this even more urgent? Jonathon was just diagnosed with an abnormal heart rhythm. He's now in a race against the clock — fighting with doctors and insurance companies — trying to schedule a necessary cardiac procedure before he loses coverage entirely. No one should have to fight an insurance company for lifesaving care. No one should have to wonder whether they'll be able to afford treatment after the end of the year. And no one should be left behind because their government walked away from them. This is why I'm running to: - Restore ACA tax credits so people don't lose their coverage overnight
- Lower healthcare costs for families, seniors, and small businesses
- Take on insurance companies that put profits over patients
- Protect people with chronic health conditions from being priced out of care
But to do that, I need your help. Will you chip in $25 or whatever you can today to help me fight for Jonathon — and for every family struggling to afford healthcare? |
| Together, we can build a system that actually works for families. Thank you, Stefany Shaheen |
