This policy harms both students and public schools by taking funds from those schools, reducing state resources for public services, and increasing racial and socioeconomic segregation within our education system. Sign the petition: Say NO to diverting public school money to private schools! Free-market mechanisms are unsuitable for education because they undermine education quality and equity. The inefficiencies of the educational system disproportionately affect marginalized and disadvantaged families. Studies show vouchers rarely benefit low-income families.
