Hi Jason, I want to be honest with you about something that's been weighing on me.
Last month, Georgia's Department of Human Services announced an $85 million shortfall. That agency oversees foster care and services for some of the most vulnerable children in our state. And because of this gap, they're already talking about cutting back care. I've seen what happens when the system fails kids. As a public school teacher and a public servant, I met students who were carrying far more than they ever should have. Kids who were bounced from home to home. Kids who fell through the cracks because adults in power did not plan, did not invest, and did not step up when it mattered. No child should suffer because the state failed to do its job. Georgia is one of the largest economies in the country. We can afford to protect our kids. What we cannot afford is leadership that treats shortfalls like this as acceptable or unavoidable. This is why I'm running for governor. Because investing in people is not optional. It's our responsibility. And when we get it wrong, the consequences are real and painful. If you believe Georgia must do better for children and families, I'm asking you to help me keep fighting. My first major fundraising deadline of 2026 is on January 31, and I need your help showing our campaign's strength. Can I count on you to chip in $5 today to support this campaign and help us build the leadership Georgia needs?
Thank you for standing with me and for believing that every child deserves safety, stability, and a fair shot. Jason
