Reporters are being targeted

Folks, this is a five-alarm warning for our democracy.

The FBI raided the home of a Washington Post journalist and seized her devices because of her reporting on the Trump administration. That is an extraordinary escalation, and it should terrify anyone who believes in a free press.

When the government targets journalists like this, it sends a clear message: dig too deep, ask the wrong questions, and you’ll pay the price. Sources go silent. Reporters hold back. Corruption stays hidden.

That’s not hypothetical. That’s how authoritarianism takes hold.

This moment demands immediate pushback. If officials learn they can intimidate journalists without consequences, they will do it again and again. Silence now becomes permission later. We must stand up for the First Amendment and defend press freedom. Add your name today and demand accountability.

We have to draw the line loudly, publicly, and together.

In solidarity,

Forward Blue
