Jason, FIRST: Alaska voters approved a ballot measure in 2020 to establish ranked-choice voting in the state to make our elections more transparent and ensure that candidates put the needs of Alaskans above special interests. THEN: Dark money special interest groups launched a campaign to repeal our ranked-choice voting system in 2024–but Alaska voters stepped up and defeated the ballot measure by just 734 votes! |
NOW: With renewed efforts to undo the will of Alaska voters and repeal ranked-choice voting in 2026 already underway, rebuilding our statewide grassroots infrastructure early will be crucial to preserving our election system. Can we count on you to chip in anything you can today so we can stay ready to fight back against any attempts to repeal ranked-choice voting here in Alaska? |
