The sky isn't falling

A lot of politicians lie to you, Jason. And if you're a New Yorker, you know this to be true.

My priority in my career and on this campaign is to be transparent every step of the way — including when I ask for your donations. Because the most important thing to me is earning your trust.

So you'll never hear me say things like "The sky is falling" or "We're throwing in the towel" about grassroots fundraising performance. But you will hear me say that fundraising is important, and every donation counts in a race as competitive as this one.

Luckily, New York City's match program puts the power in the hands of grassroots supporters so that candidates can't be bought by special interests. That means if you're an eligible New York City resident, your donation will be matched 8X by the city.
