Trader Joe's wants you to think they're a different kind of company.
They've built their image on being friendly, quirky, and progressive. But behind the Hawaiian shirts and free samples is a cold truth: Thousands of Trader Joe's employees still don't have access to affordable health insurance.
These are the workers who make Trader Joe's what it is. They stock the shelves. They keep stores running. They care for customers. And now, as Congress slashes access to Medicare and Medicaid, they're being left behind.
Without guaranteed health coverage from their employer, Trader Joe's crew members are left to navigate a broken system on their own, facing higher costs, fewer options, more stress.
