When I was elected to the Rockland County Legislature, I not only won my own purple seat—I led a slate of candidates to win the first Democratic supermajority on the legislature in Rockland County history.
Voters sent me to the County Legislature because they knew my work on the Nyack School Board, where I worked to fund critical security measures and technology upgrades and quickly and safely reopen schools during the COVID-19 pandemic—all while passing much-needed property tax relief for seniors and volunteer first responders who were hard-hit by rising costs.
I brought my problem-solving skills to the Legislature, leading bipartisan efforts to cut taxes, pass a common-sense gun safety law, and preserve open space.
Now, I'm running for Congress in NY-17 to bring that same leadership to Washington and stop Donald Trump and Mike Lawler's MAGA agenda in its tracks.
We're gearing up for a tough race. Mike Lawler and national Republicans will throw everything they have at us, but I know we can win this race. We've already proven we can beat Republicans in purple territory, and I know NY-17 is ready for change.
