My name is Allison Ziogas. I've spent my whole career in the labor movement. I worked as a union organizer, a journeywoman electrician, and as a head of labor relations for large-scale energy projects.
Now I'm launching my campaign for Congress in New York's 11th District because the people making the decisions should know what it's like to do the work.

| Our political system is broken.
For too long, the people in charge have been looking out for the ultra-wealthy, the well-connected, and themselves. Never for us. They let corporate lobbyists write the rules and stick everyone else with the bill.
Washington is run by wealthy elites and special interests while the working people who built this country are left without a voice.
I'm running to give us one.
I'm not a career politician. I spent 15 years working the tools. I built projects that define the New York City skyline; I worked at 3 World Trade Center when it was a hole in the ground and helped build the electrical backbone of this 80-story skyscraper, a symbol of the city's resilience.
Then I put down my tools to lead labor relations at a major energy developer. I designed labor policy and negotiated agreements on massive investments in American infrastructure.
And I did it with working people at the absolute center.
Congress is supposed to represent the people. Representing hardworking Americans is what I do best.
We can have an economy that works for all of us if we build it the right way. We need good, family-sustaining jobs, stronger unions, fair wages, and a government where working people set the priorities. We need labor at the table.
I'm running to get us there. To fight for the people Washington sold out and deliver on the promises they never intended to keep.
I've never let working families get a bad deal, and I won't start now.
But I can't do this alone. It's going to take a strong, people-powered grassroots campaign to flip this seat, so I'm counting on everyone to step up.
