| Jason, I'll be honest: I hate asking for money. It's awkward, uncomfortable, and definitely not how I was raised. But here's the reality of running a grassroots campaign in one of the most competitive districts in the country: asking for your support is the only way we can win. While my opponent and career politicians in Washington gladly cash big checks from corporate PACs and special interests, I never have and I never will. I ran for Congress to fight for Upstate New Yorkers, not for corporate profits, and that means running a campaign fueled by everyday folks like you. Last cycle, our race to flip NY-19 was the most expensive in the entire country, and this time around it's shaping up to be just as tough. The corporations and special interests are already lining up to defeat me and send a rubber stamp to Washington. To fight back and win again, we need to continue building on our grassroots momentum. So I have to ask: can I count on you to chip in $25 or whatever you can today to help us keep NY-19 blue and prove that people-power still wins? |
With gratitude & high hopes, Josh |
