| When federal immigration tactics threatened public safety and trust, Jeremy joined officials, clergy, and neighbors to demand ICE out of Oakland County and metro-Detroit.
He also heard firsthand from Michigan residents trying to be reunited with their family members who have been unjustly detained, stripped of their rights and due process, and placed in inhumane conditions.
And he didn't stop there.
Jeremy believes deeply that enforcement must be fair, humane, transparent, and constitutional – not wielded as a weapon that endangers innocent people or undermines public safety. That's why he sponsored and co-sponsored bills in the Michigan Senate to rein in ICE's lawless actions.
He's fought for that principle in Michigan. And if given the opportunity, he will continue that fight in Congress.
