Jason, I wanted to make sure you saw this:
The Los Angeles Times just featured our campaign to flip California's 22nd District, confirming what we've long known — this is the single most competitive House contest in the state.
The Cook Political Report has CA-22 listed as California's “only toss-up race.” Out of 52 congressional seats, ours is the tightest.
Redistricting reshaped this district into one of the few real fights left in the state. And David Valadao has held on for six terms largely on the strength of outside super PAC spending — not on his record.
That record includes taking over $1.2 million from the healthcare industry, then casting the deciding vote to gut Medicaid for 70% of the families in this district who depend on it.
Our first poll of the general election has me slightly ahead (48-44), but Valadao still has a massive cash advantage, and every dollar his side spends buys another attack ad in mailboxes and on TVs across our community.
Grassroots support is what lets us compete with that — it's the difference between getting our message out and getting drowned out.
I don't take corporate money — what I have is you. Will you chip in $3 today to help me get our message in front of voters before Valadao's allies define me for them?
Thanks,
Randy
