I've been ringing alarm bells about Sen. Tommy Tuberville's dangerous holds on military promotions all year. For some, the news that he released the vast majority of those holds has been seen as a kind of victory.
But we aren't done with this yet.
Tuberville's extended hold on a handful of senior military promotions continues to put us at risk — and, longer term, it fosters the exact kind of corruption we see in China and Russia, in which military leaders who do politicians' bidding are rewarded and those who don't get sidelined.

We started Operation Saving Democracy because the Republican Party continues to embrace MAGA extremism and turn its back on the democratic norms that keep our country safe and stable.
