What we're seeing with ICE overreach isn't making us safer. It's creating fear, disrupting families and small businesses, and eroding trust in our communities.   But this moment didn't come out of nowhere. It's the result of decades of Congress failing to fix broken systems — especially immigration — and choosing to react to crises instead of preventing them.   I came to this country as a child and grew up in Des Plaines. I believe deeply in the rule of law — and I also believe the government must follow the law. Immigration enforcement should be targeted, lawful, and humane — focused on real public safety threats, not fear-driven mass actions that destabilize entire neighborhoods. America can be both a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants — but only if we govern with common sense, responsibility, and dignity.   That's why I'm running for Congress: to fix what's broken, restore trust, and deliver real solutions — not slogans.   As a policy expert, small business owner, and social scientist, I've spent my career studying what actually works — and what doesn't. I've served on the former President's Foreign Policy Working Group, worked on trade and economic security, and built solutions in the real world.
