Jason,
The political world is focused on New Hampshire, where we're about to learn if anyone can stop Donald Trump from steamrolling his way to the Republican nomination.
It's got me thinking a lot about that state's famous motto: "Live Free or Die!" It sure has taken on a new meeting in the last few years.
Today is the 51st anniversary of the Roe v Wade ruling that for about half a century gave women freedom over our own bodies. Now, it's a somber reminder that not all progress is guaranteed forever. And it's a flashpoint for what this election is about.
On one side, we'll have a party that spent decades trying to strip away that constitutional right so politicians can force women to carry dangerous pregnancies to term, risking their wellbeing and sometimes their lives. That same party is led by a man who says he'll be a "dictator on Day One" and is promising "retribution" over his political opponents. He says there needs to be "some form of punishment" for women who have abortions.
Live Free or Die.
Thank you, New Hampshire, for putting the stakes of this election so clearly.
Today's a great day to fund the difficult, mission-critical work of reaching key voters in battleground states — chip in and let's ensure that America chooses the right path forward.
Thank you,
Amy
