Jason— the Iowa caucuses are over, and Donald Trump is well on his way to being the Republican nominee for president.
We're already hearing a lot about general election polls. Now, look, it's just far too early to read too much into any of them. But I want to make sure you saw something tucked away in New Hampshire primary survey by USA Today, the Boston Globe, and Suffolk University: Nearly 30% of independent voters ranked "the future of democracy" as their #1 issue in the 2024 election.
If that trend continues AND we do our jobs, Donald Trump will never be president again.
I've seen a lot of data on this, this poll is another sure signal that our strategy is the right one. The stakes in this election are existential for our democracy. Now the polls are starting to show that voters understand that, too.
Pro-democracy voters will swing the outcomes in battleground states. We are building the infrastructure to find and reach those voters — and we could really use a grassroots boost right now.
If you can, chip in today to help invest in our programs to win pro-democracy voters in key states and block a second Trump election.
More soon,
Amy
